Audio upgrade for a global luxury hospitality client
Share article
A luxury hospitality client appointed Runtech Group to upgrade and install audio within the restaurant and wellness area.
Within our client’s luxury hotel sits two restaurants, three bars and a patisserie for their guests and visitors to enjoy. The existing audio system in the main restaurant was split into two zones, and our client requested the audio to be converted into five zones to offer more flexibility with volume control. In addition, our client wanted audio installed into the wellness centre treatment rooms with access to the BGM with volume control.
The final solution
To convert the audio into five separate zones, Runtech had to run new cables across three floors of the hotel, which required overnight installation and carefully coordinated work. An additional Dante Bluetooth and 3.5mm audio input plate was installed for increased functionality. Additionally, as events will be held in the restaurant, a Dante Wireless microphone receiver and two Sennheiser handheld microphones were connected. A Q-SYS touchscreen controller was installed to allow easy access to the audio.
A Q-SYS ceiling-mounted loudspeaker was installed in the centre of the treatment rooms. Each room included a volume controller for audio control. For futureproofing, a CAT6 cable was also run through the relevant areas. Lastly, a Dante Bluetooth and 3.5mm audio input plate were installed, along with the same Q-SYS touchscreen controlled in the wellness reception.
As our client is open to the public throughout the day and evening, work was performed outside of normal hours to keep disruption to a minimum.
The audio upgrade has enabled more flexibility with enhanced background music choices for each area within the restaurant and wellness centre. As a result, this will improve the guest’s experience when visiting our client.
