The home of innovation in the UK and Ireland
Huckletree opened its first shared workspace in Central London in 2014. Since then, it has supported over 5,000 members across its nine hubs in three cities. Their prominent presence is in London, with additional hubs in Manchester and Dublin. Huckletree is on a mission to build the most impactful and trusted workspace business in the world. With an aim to create a positive impact for their members, community, and the environment. The AV solutions provided by Runtech at the new Bishopsgate co-working space will contribute significantly to this mission, enhancing the productivity and collaboration of their members and creating a more engaging and dynamic work environment.
THE CLIENT'S BRIEF
Huckletree continues to grow and expand in the co-working industry and recently opened a new centre in Liverpool Street. They identified a space across four floors to facilitate their vision for the city. As the incumbent AV provider for the Huckletree estate, Runtech was instructed to design, supply, and install a comprehensive BYOD VC solution for the latest addition to their growing group of venues. This included the installation of AV technology in their meeting rooms, event space, breakout areas, and Podcast Room. Runtech worked alongside Modus Workspace, a leading office design and build company, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the AV systems. The final solution
Meeting rooms
Each meeting room, varying in size and capacity, was equipped with appropriately sized Samsung Smart 4K large-format displays (65″, 55″, and 50″) to ensure optimal viewing distance. To fulfil Huckletree’s BYOD requirement, Barco Clickshare CX-30 devices were installed in each room, allowing guests to present and collaborate directly from their laptops with enhanced security. Additionally, each room features a Poly Studio USB video bar to facilitate video conferencing, and larger meeting rooms have Poly Expansion Microphones for increased audio coverage.
Event Space/Boardroom
An 85″ Samsung Commercial Display, Logitech Rally Bar, Logitech Ceiling Microphones, and a Logitech Clickshare CX-30 were implemented to provide flexibility. This exciting space can transform from a large-format video conference facility to an event space with background music and speech reinforcement.
Background Music
Background music is available in all common areas and breakout spaces. QSC Pendant ceiling speakers were installed, providing optimal background music coverage with the client’s Spotify playlist via Logitech Bluetooth and iPads. Manual controls on the amplifier were used for source selection and volume control, ensuring minimal member interference. The QSC pendant speakers (in White) aesthetically complemented the client’s colourful ceiling finishes.
Digital Signage
Four Samsung displays were provided to display custom-made NFT digital art running via the Evexi Signage platform, thanks to a unique alliance with Samsung. The cloud-based signage platform allows Huckletree to control all screens and deliver content straight to them. All signage displays were mounted on rotating Unicol mounts, allowing easy changes between landscape and portrait orientations based on content needs. The integration of Samsung Displays and EVEXI Signage offers a flexible, user-friendly solution.
Podcast Room
The first floor included a Podcast Room, featuring a Samsung display, a Barco C-10 for wireless presentation, and a Nikon SLR for VLOGS. Audio pickup is achieved with Studio Condenser microphones, MK Headphones, a Focusrite Vocaster One interface, and a selection of tripods, pop shields, and high-end cabling.
