global energy service company makes the switch to Microsoft Teams Rooms

Runtech has transformed nine meeting rooms into Microsoft Teams Rooms, replacing their legacy solution that is no longer fit for purpose.

With over 30 global offices, our client is in the process of standardising their meeting room technology. After completing a small project for our client in London last year, Runtech was invited to their Woking office to conduct a thorough site survey to review their AV setup.

Previously, our client’s setup involved a mixture of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing hardware with obsolete displays and consumer-level webcams. The client had in-house storage of 65″ and 75” Spectron & Panasonic commercial displays which were re-purposed.

The project

After an in-depth discussion, our client opted for Logitech hardware in Native Teams mode. With prior experience using Logitech, the client found this to be the optimal solution for their needs. The client wanted a one-touch-to-join solution, that synced with their E365 ecosystem and also provided the ability for BYOD. The key to success was implementing a solution that created consistency and reliability for the client’s users.

Runtech installed a Logitech Rally Plus solution with multiple microphones in the larger meeting rooms, and Rally Bar Mini’s in the remaining six rooms. Every meeting room is set up in Teams Room mode for quick one-touch join using the Logitech TAP IP. In addition, a Logitech Strong USB and 4K HDMI has been incorporated into the setup to enable a BYOD option.

Now the rooms are consistent in terms of hardware and software, our client has benefited from the Logitech Sync device management platform. This allows their IT department to monitor hardware at scale and easily check the devices are healthy and up to date.

This project also includes a three-year Service Level Agreement (SLA) which enables our client to receive priority support from our Runtech Care team.
