Runtech Group was appointed by a luxury hospitality client to upgrade and install audio within the restaurant and wellness area.
Within our client’s luxury hotel sits two restaurants, three bars and a patisserie for their guests and visitors to enjoy. The existing audio system in the main restaurant was split into two zones, and our client requested the audio to be converted into five zones to offer more flexibility with volume control. In addition, our client wanted audio installed into the wellness centre treatment rooms with access to the BGM with volume control.
The final solution
To convert the audio into five separate zones, Runtech had to run new cables across 3 floors of the hotel which required overnight installation and careful co-ordinating works. An additional Dante Bluetooth and 3.5mm audio input plate was installed for increased functionality. Additionally, as events will be held in the restaurant, a Dante Wireless microphone receiver and two Sennheiser handheld microphones were connected. For easy control of the audio, a Q-SYS touchscreen controller was installed.
Within the treatment rooms, a Q-SYS ceiling-mounted loudspeaker was installed within the centre of the room. For audio control, each room included a volume controller. For futureproofing, a CAT6 cable was also run through the relevant areas. Lastly, a Dante Bluetooth and 3.5mm audio input plate was installed along with the same Q-SYS touch screen controlled in the wellness reception.
As our client is open to the public throughout the day and evening, to keep disruption to a minimum, work was performed outside of normal hours.
The audio upgrade has enabled more flexibility with enhanced background music choices for each area within the restaurant and wellness centre. As a result, this will improve the guest’s experience when visiting our client.
