Nine co-working spaces in the heart of London.
With nine buildings split between Holborn and Camden, LABS’ offices are designed to improve productivity in some of the most connected places.
LABS’ supports businesses of all sizes, from start-ups through to established corporations, as well as ambitious individuals; building a community of entrepreneurs, creatives, founders, and industry leaders.
THE CLIENT'S BRIEF
Runtech are the audio-visual partner to support LABS in all of its co-working spaces. The Labs sites are 5-star rated with beautiful interior design. It’s important that Runtech specified solutions that augments the design. Multiple, bookable meeting rooms require a laptop and BYOD presentation (wired and wireless) and ease-of-use video conferencing facilities. Digital signage solutions are positioned around the building offering updates, news and an element of way-finding for the Labs customers. The common areas and restrooms include a background music system that complemented the atmosphere and aesthetic and provided quiet but intelligible music.
LABS have designed its space for the purpose of private offices, co-working spaces, and the ability to host events. Therefore, an event space is included that offers a wide audience presentation with speech re-enforcement. The key requirements were reliability, ease-of-use, quality, and aesthetically pleasing AV solutions.
The final solution
We used a range of 55″ – 65″ large format displays, depending on the size of the meeting rooms. Our client opted for the Crestron Flex video conferencing solution. We also placed 55″ displays around the building, which can be used for digital signage purposes.
Taking the LABS building aesthetic into consideration, we decided to install Ecler spherical pendant loudspeakers throughout the buildings. This speaker features a 6,5” woofer, 1” tweeter and 70/100V transformer, which helps distribute the sound evenly throughout.
To help amplify the sound, we also installed CVS Micro Ceiling Speakers. The compact 160-Watt shallow back ceiling loudspeakers are engineered to provide superb audio performance in both background and foreground music sound systems.
